Outdoor Club of Victoria Special Funding Announcement for the VI Spine Trail

COWICHAN LAKE: The Outdoor Club of Victoria and several other hiking clubs from Cowichan, Duncan and Port Alberni celebrate Earth Day by making a funding announcement for the Vancouver Island Spine Trail. When complete the trail will be 700 kms long and will be used by hikers, bikers and horseback riders. It will run from Victoria through the Cowichan Valley and end at Cape Scott. The trail is over two thirds built and this funding will add sections along the south route around Cowichan Lake.

There will be a hike to a viewpoint up Bald Mountain following the event. More information to come.
