San Josef Bay Parking Lot to Cape Scott Light Station (Hike/Camping)

As part of the 2011 VI Spine Trail Series, four intrepid hikers hoofed it from the San Josef Bay parking lot to the Cape Scott Light Station. We did the hike over 4 days, sleeping at Eric Lake on the first night and Nels Bight for the second and third nights.

Weather was splendid for back-packing: high cloud and occasional spit of rain, then bursts of brilliant sunshine. Nels Bight has fantastic logs to make camp sites, but brackish and stinky water.
