Trip Log
Seven intrepid bicyclists rode out from downtown Victoria to Royal Roads University on a very sunny Sunday. We started with great snack and coffee from Fol Epi and Cafe Fantastico at Dockside Green. VISTA Director Bill Feyrer gave us a rousing send-off speech. VI Spine Series organizers Sean and Julie were on hand to held with logistics.
We rode steadily as a group and had light hearted discussions of how great it would be to have a trail like the Galloping Goose all the way to Port Hardy, and then up to Cape Scott! What a dream.
At Royal Roads we were welcomed by a large marquee, and brilliant sunshine. Sean and Julie were waiting with more Fol Epi snacks and juice boxes. Charles brought out apples and bananas. We did a slow tour of the beautiful RRU campus and then headed back for town.
A great kick-off event! Thanks to all the riders!
